"Land" is a solo project of the guitar based Lithuanian
songwriter/singer Rod K. The music of "Land" could be classified as
contemporary pop/rock with an alternative twist. The lyrics are
written around anti-militaristic, social, philosophical and even
romantic themes, often co-written with Rod's Icelandic friend Odinn
Albertsson and British a musician songwriter Jan Bedford.

The line-up of "Land" is Rod K - vocal / guitars, Donatas Ferensas as
the bass player, drummer Rytis Rutkauskas and Darius Uscila on
keyboards:

In 2004 "Land" took part in the "Baltic New Music Chart" contest,
organized by the by well known Latvian musician and producer Maris
Zigats. In this 2004/2005 season of the contest, "Land" won 3rd place
with the popular song "You Take The Waters". Later, this same song got
heavy airplay in Lithuania and Latvia. "You Take The Waters" was
forwarded by the world's leading independent A&R company Taxi directly
to the hands of music supervisors of several Hollywood music, film and
TV companies. A promotional video for the song was shot and
broadcasted on the Baltic music TV channels.

The debut album called "You Take The Waters" was released in Rod's
homeland on July 18th 2005 and got quickly sold out.

In 2007 "Land" worked on an international trio song called "Advent Of
Angels". The project was initiated by Rod K who wrote the song and
lyrics. Rod invited two popular singers to participate and add their
voices and character to the song along with his own vocals. The
participatns are Friðrik Ómar from Iceland and Isaac Lim from
Malaysia. These three singers never met in person, just online. Advent
Of Angels" is the first international pop/rock trio project in
Lithuania ever. The song has a strong ethical and anti-war message. It
entered in Latvia's biggest radio station SWH "Top 20", got aired on
Estonian RAADIO-2, stayed for a long time in Lithuania's RADIOCENTRAS
chart "Lietuvos Top 20" and even reached #1 position in FM99 "TOP-33"!
The promotional video was shot and aired on the Lithuanian music TV
channels.

Land's line up has remained unchanged since 2004. The highlights of
